Our Commitment to Child Safety

St Luke’s Anglican Church, Vermont is committed to ministering to children, young people and vulnerable adults by providing an environment that is physically, emotionally and spiritually safe.

This church is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. We will endeavour to provide a safe and supportive environment for children and young people through safeguards which include: Working With Children and police checks for all staff and volunteers who have contact with children, and ongoing training, support and review for staff and volunteers.

We are committed to promoting a culture within this church where our practice reflects values of integrity, duty of care, transparency, inclusion, and mutual accountability.

Concerns may also be addressed to the Children’s Ministry Leader, our child safety officer, S. Wansbrough, or the Church Minister, Mark Simon on 03 9873 1375 who will take appropriate action including, if appropriate, any legally required report to statutory authorities.
