Growth Groups

Growth Groups provide an opportunity for fellowship, bible study, conversation and prayer. They are places where trusting relationships are built and where people feel supported and encouraged while learning and praying together.

At St Luke’s, we value the importance of each person being cared for and maturing as a disciple of Jesus in the context of a healthy Christian community. Although congregations meet together regularly at Sunday service, smaller Growth Groups of up to a dozen people meet together mid-week to encourage and support each other.

A number of groups operate throughout the week in school terms to meet people’s differing needs and preferences. These include:

Monday Mornings - Our Mum’s Bible Study meets Monday morning from 9.30 to 11am for conversation, bible study and prayer. Children are cared for by members of the congregation to allow mum’s to have this time together.

Monday Mornings –@ 9.30AM  Know Your Bible (KYB) this group of ladies meet weekly for Bible Study and to enjoy fellowship together.

Monday afternoons @  2pm – this Bible/fellowship group meets to grow in understanding of faith and to support and encourage each other. The 2nd and 4th Mondays are for Bible study and fellowship and the 5th Monday is a social event

Wednesday evenings @ 8pm - Three groups meet weekly or fortnightly. One group is for predominantly working men, meeting on alternate weeks to a women's group. All the groups study the bible, pray and share fellowship together.
