Belgrave Heights Men’s Convention: Life on the Road – invokes lots of images from the excitement of travel to the feeling that you are alone in a strange environment. But it is a long road and there are challenges in our personal life and our lives together and this year we will look at the journey from 1 Peter.

Guy Mason

Guy is the Lead Pastor and founder of City on a Hill.  Guy loves Jesus and is a passionate communicator of the Gospel, a deep theological thinker and someone who is able to take the message of the Bible and apply it to contemporary culture. He is a member of Acts 29 and an ordained Anglican Minister.

Greg Lee
Greg didn’t grow up a Christian but was blown away by the love a Christian family showed him in year 11.  He worked as a Marine Biologist and still loves diving and swimming.  He has spent the last 20 years preaching Jesus to the people of Newcastle, NSW at Hunter Bible Church.

When we last met we were challenged to really get into men’s ministry and many have done this in their churches.  This year we will have a seminar in which we will play a short DVD from Carl Beech and then share ideas of Men’s Ministry in our churches.

Sunday May 26 - Love Your Enemies

Sunday May 26 - Love Your Enemies

Welcome to church!

We are continuing the sermon series called The Sermon On the Mount  from the Gospel of Matthew.

Richard Anderson will lead and our Associate Minister, Rev Mark Simon (picture on right) will preach on the topic Love Your Enemies taken from the text Matthew 5: 38-48

Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 5-7. These chapters are often thought of as containing the essence of Jesus’ teaching. People who are not Christians will sometimes refer to Jesus as a great teacher, thinking about his emphasis on mercy, love, peace and turning the other cheek. But how many have actually read the Sermon on the Mount and heard the call to “the narrow road that leads to life” (Mt 7:14)? What does he mean about building your house on rock? Or storing up treasures in heaven? These are challenging chapters indeed. This will be a great series for anyone thinking about Christianity.

You can hear previous sermons here.

Please come along - all are welcome! Stay for morning refreshments after the service and say hello to Mark Simon who would love meet you!
